Real estate lead response in India’s Tier-2 cities
By Abhishek Bharti, Founder of Genluno
Why do Tier-2 cities need their own lead-response plan?
The reply-fast rule holds, but the buyer is different: more first-time and family-led decisions, more out-of-town enquiries, and a wide spread between localities. A broker who answers in a minute and asks about the exact locality stands out from brokers who reply the next day.
Which localities should you ask about in each city?
Common shortlists buyers compare:
- Jaipur: Mansarovar, Vaishali Nagar, Jagatpura, Malviya Nagar
- Lucknow: Gomti Nagar, Aliganj, Sushant Golf City, Indira Nagar
- Indore: Vijay Nagar, Bypass Road, Super Corridor, Palasia
- Chandigarh tricity: Sector 17 area, Mohali, Zirakpur, Panchkula
- Surat: Vesu, Adajan, Pal, Althan
- Nagpur: Dharampeth, Wardha Road, Manish Nagar, Besa
- Kochi: Kakkanad, Edappally, Marine Drive, Aluva
- Coimbatore: RS Puram, Saravanampatti, Race Course, Peelamedu
Use these as prompts, not assumptions: always let the buyer name the area.
How is follow-up different outside the big metros?
- Phone numbers carry more weight. A quick WhatsApp message followed by a call offer works well.
- Families decide together. Offer weekend visit slots and ask who will be visiting.
- Out-of-town buyers are common. Ask early whether they can visit in person.
What about regional languages?
Buyers in Kochi, Coimbatore and other southern and western cities may prefer Malayalam, Tamil, Gujarati or Marathi. Genluno replies in English, Hindi or Hinglish only, and you can't pause it to take over a chat yet, so for buyers who want a regional language, call them yourself once you see the lead.
How do you start?
Genluno replies on WhatsApp in about 60 seconds to leads from the 10 portals it supports, qualifies budget, locality and timeline, and offers three visit slots so the buyer can book one. See the largest markets in our Tier-1 cities guide, then start the free trial.
Frequently asked questions
Does Genluno work for brokers outside the big metros?
Yes. It works from the portal lead email you forward, so the city does not matter. You choose which localities to ask about.
Can Genluno reply in Malayalam, Tamil or Gujarati?
No. It replies in English, Hindi or Hinglish only.
How fast should I reply to a lead in a Tier-2 city?
Aim for about a minute. Fast replies stand out most where fewer brokers respond promptly.
